Riccota Gnocchi partial infographic compares

Food Newsie likes comparing items. Ricotta Gnocchi, which this author often mispells, ain’t bad either. When the hunt was on to find a recipe for Ricotta Cheese Gnocchi, four recipes stood out and their differences seemed fascinating – how do you know which will be best, or healthiest? Grilling burgers with processed cheese

After a brief time in the Miami Bureau, returning finds dead herbs, stalled projects and rather than throw hands in the air, the decision is made to answer the question – when should you add a heavily processed cheese to your grilled burger?

The Food Newsie deck was teeming with onion grass, dill, mint, basil and a sprouting couple of onions left too long in the kitchen (so why not stick’em in dirt?). Spent a week starting a massive carpentry project down south and wouldn’t you know it, Mother Nature does that “thing” she did last year that wiped out every last starter plant we had going – about 35 in all. 102 degrees while we were out for a Summer vacay; how do you combat that?

Guinness and Gouda Bread as a rough loaf made out of the pan.

Bring this to the table in the first of Food Newsie’s very few ideas for you to steal for Thanksgiving since we know that your worth this holiday is measured not by your enemies, but by what you bring, literally, to the table.

Thanksgiving – it’s about the United States of America; the country too cool to come up with a real name. They say that Thanksgiving is a time to take stock in all you’re thankful for – I say that’s ridiculous. Is Easter the only time to think bunnies are cute? Is Christmas the only time to be religious? Is your Mom only worth while one day out of the year? Hardly, hardly and hardly.
